HA-HA Design and Development is a Dutch architecture firm working on housing, adaptive reuse and the transformation of existing buildings.
Founded in Rotterdam in 2022, HA-HA believes that architecture, landscape and urbanism are equally integral to a successful design proposal; that the client and contractor are active collaborators; and that development, finance and feasibility are part of the creative process.
HA-HA’s design sensibility is playful, practical and harmonious — but never obvious or predictable. The name HA-HA is both an expression of delight and an unexpected, seamless element of the landscape, traditionally found in English gardens.
Nima Morkoç
Before founding HA-HA, Nima Morkoc worked, among others, for West 8 and Mei Architects. He currently teaches a studio on wooden housing at TU Delft in the Netherlands, where he received his Masters in Architecture in 2019.
In addition, Nima is on the board of the Rotterdam Rooftop Days (Rotterdamse Dakendagen).
